International Working Group on Blue-Green Infrastructures
The International Blue-Green Infrastructure Working Group (iBGI) is a collaborative platform under the International Water Association dedicated to advancing sustainable drainage systems and blue-green infrastructure solutions worldwide.
Our vision is to transform urban water management by integrating natural processes with engineered solutions, creating resilient and sustainable communities that thrive in harmony with their environment.
We strive to bridge the gap between research and practice, connecting academics, practitioners, policymakers, and communities to develop innovative approaches to water management challenges.
Through knowledge sharing, capacity building, and advocacy, we aim to accelerate the adoption of blue-green infrastructure solutions that address flooding, water quality, climate adaptation, and biodiversity enhancement while creating more livable urban spaces.
